I'm Okumura Masahiro from the Spolution Team, Office Project (Office Po).
Office Project's activities will continue steadily, so we will also feature Office Project in this Web Dentsu Inc. News series, covering topics as they arise. This second installment introduces specific initiatives.

■What is Office Project?

Working long hours at the office can build up stress and stifle creativity. That's when break time becomes crucial.
There are various breaks, like cigarette breaks or snack breaks, but what sparked Office Project was the idea: why not make exercise your break?
Stress relief ⇄ Idea generation.
Exercise that sparks inspiration, right in the office.
Can Officepo make company life more enjoyable and idea-filled?

For example, I'm currently working on a balance ball, but I often hear concerns like, "If I recommend this to people around me, won't they look at me like, 'Is that guy messing around?!' or 'Is he slacking off?!'" On the other hand, I also get comments like, "Hey, let me try that!" And when people actually try it, almost 100% of them react with, "This is great!!" Amazingly, our department has now transformed into the Balance Ball Club.
Everyone's feedback after trying it has been surprisingly positive!

■ "OfficePo" has started. And it's amazing.

Recently, a company called Body Metrics contacted Office Po. They've developed a new stretching machine and are installing it not just in sports-related places, but also in offices. For example, just the other day, they installed one at Astro Lab.

Astro Lab is an IT systems development company with many programmers and document creators, and a high percentage of staff suffer from stiff shoulders and back pain. To alleviate these issues even a little, they decided to introduce the machine when they relocated their office.

After installation, not only did shoulder and back pain lessen, but stretching also increased conversation among employees, leading to smoother workflows than before.
The Office Po is being put to vigorous use.

■And so, the Dentsu Inc. Office Team presents its first original content!

Its name?

Refresh Your Mind and Body in 30 Minutes Without Changing Clothes!

This is Ami Ito from Office Po. We recently launched "Office Po Yoga: Stimulate Your Working Brain and Spark Inspiration"!
Why yoga? Because yoga contains many elements that stimulate the working brain and spark inspiration!

The foundation is "breathing." While yoga often gets attention for its challenging poses, its true purpose is to regulate and deepen your breath. In our stressful modern lives, breathing tends to become shallow. But through yoga, deep breathing floods your brain with oxygen. Try it, and you'll be amazed at how activated your brain feels! Even first-timers were surprised, saying, "I feel refreshed!"

Our first Office Yoga session drew a truly diverse group: a male art director in his 30s, a female office worker in her 20s, a male marketing professional in his 20s, a female copywriter in her 30s, a female salesperson in her 20s, a male business owner in his 40s, and even a male department head in his 50s! Taking off your shoes and taking deep breaths in a space usually filled with meetings – that alone must have been a stimulating experience.

As Priya, who developed the program, said, "It's a shame yoga is seen as just a hobby for women. Yoga calms the nerves and clears the mind, which directly boosts creativity and innovative thinking at work!"

At Office Yoga, we incorporate not just breathing, but also auditory and olfactory stimuli to efficiently stimulate the brain in a shorter time. Plus, it's a strict 30-minute session perfect for office breaks. The program is designed so you can do it even if you're stiff or wearing a suit.

We've received numerous comments expressing the feeling and expectation that "Sticking with it seems like it will bring benefits!" So we plan to keep expanding it more and more!

■Office Yoga Requests Keep Coming In!

This "Office Yoga that Stimulates the Working Brain and Sparks Inspiration" has already attracted interest from a wide range of people.
Interest is coming not only from companies but also from school teachers.
We want to spark more "inspiration" in offices and schools. Haven't we all vaguely felt before that we need something to relieve stress and stimulate the brain?
But building large gyms or basketball courts within companies is difficult. So, wouldn't it be great if something that can be done quickly in meeting rooms—which everyone has—could become more widespread?
I'm keenly feeling the potential not just for Office Yoga, but for Office Space as a whole.

■So, what will the next OfficePo be!? Stay tuned!

Office-Po plans to continuously launch initiatives that spark more inspiration by getting people moving in the office.
The next project is sure to be something that will definitely inspire everyone working in the office! Stay tuned.
