[Participants Wanted] Minerva University students and Dentsu Inc. B Team explore global education

Hidetoshi Kurashige, head of Dentsu B Team, DentsuInc.'s creative think tank, andNadezhda Kirilova, author of the picture book "Nadezhda's Five Schools " (published by Dai-Nichi Co., Ltd.) and originating from the popular web series "Active Learning: How About This? " on Web Dentsu News, will host a talk event with two students interning at Dentsu Inc. from Minerva University. The event will be held on August 9 at Dentsu Inc. Hall in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and on August 19 at Academy Hills (49th floor, Roppongi Hills Mori Tower) in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Participants are currently being recruited for both sessions.

Minerva University in the U.S. is considered one of the world's most selective institutions, even more so than Harvard. It is a residential university without a campus, where students move between seven cities over four years. All lectures are conducted online, and the curriculum is highly unique. It includes discussion-centered classes and projects conducted in collaboration with companies and other organizations, teaching students problem-solving methodologies.

Two interns from Minerva University have been working alongside Dentsu Inc. B Team, which runs the "Active Learning: What About This?" Research Institute, conducting intensive fieldwork for about two months.

At both events, Mr. Kurashige and Ms. Naja, who received education in six countries, will serve as facilitators. They will engage in discussions about Minerva and educational practices worldwide with the interns and attendees, fostering reflection on education.

Idriss Bennis
Born in Morocco. Educated in Morocco and South Africa. High school chess club captain. Also excelled in mathematics, competing in tournaments. Currently serves as leader of the consulting circle at Minerva University.

Chris Wilkinson
Born in the UK. Studied politics and history at a British university before enrolling at Minerva University. Since last year, he has been developing educational programs in San Francisco to prevent dropouts among middle school students in impoverished areas.

Nadya Kirillova
Born in the Soviet Union (at the time). Due to her parents' job transfers, she received her education at local schools in six countries (Russia, Japan, UK, France, USA, Canada). She serialized a column in Web Dentsu Inc. about the diverse and active education systems she experienced around the world.

Hidetoshi Kuranari
Born in Saga Prefecture. Joined Dentsu Inc. in 2000. Since being assigned to the Creative Bureau, he has expanded and applied his advertising skills. In 2014, he organized the " Dentsu B Team" with 50 employees who have personal aspects (B-side). He is currently challenging to create Japan's first-in-the-world innovations based on the principle "If you love something, you'll be good at it."
