Children's Perspective Lab Presents: Interactive Exhibition "Children's Perspective Exhibition"

ITOCHU SDGs STUDIO, a cultural platform that disseminates information and provides experiential opportunities on the SDGs from various angles, will host the experiential exhibition "Children's Perspective" from Friday, July 22 to Monday, September 19 (a national holiday). This exhibition invites visitors to consider life with children and the nature of society through experiences viewed from a child's perspective.

Produced by the popular "Children's Perspective Lab" featured in Dentsu Inc.'s news, this exhibition offers six "experiences to see the world through a child's eyes." It provides opportunities to consider the perspectives necessary for children to live healthy, secure lives and the importance of communication with children for building a peaceful society. It is held in conjunction with the opening of the children's SDGs facility " ITOCHU SDGs STUDIO KIDS PARK" during the same period. Members of the Children's Perspective Lab are also involved in the planning and production of KIDS PARK.

【Main Venue Exhibits and Experience Content Overview】
1. Experience-based exhibit: See the world through a child's eyes
Experience six perspectives from a child's viewpoint: "head weight," "communication limited to crying," "breakfast portion size," "perception of time," "how angry adults appear," and "overly heavy school backpacks."

・"Baby Head" weighing approximately 21kg (equivalent to a child's head for an adult)
・"Baby Voice" that converts any speech into crying sounds
・"Breakfast at Age 2" shows breakfast from a 2-year-old's perspective, handling items about twice the size of an adult's
・"Ito-chan's 30 Minutes": Visualizes a child's different sense of time through photographs
・"4m Adults": VR footage of being scolded by adults who appear as 4-meter-tall giants
・"Adult Schoolbag" – a schoolbag scaled to adult size, weighing approximately 18.9kg

 

2. Café Space to Learn More About Children's Perspectives
Interviews with experts linked to the perspectives explored in the experiential exhibits are displayed. Visitors can reflect on the exhibits while delving deeper into each perspective—including insights from leading child researchers and introductions to related studies—to learn about children's viewpoints.
