The "Tomorrow's Front Page Exhibition: Shaping the Future of Society with the Power of Newspaper Creation," hosted by the Japan Newspaper Publishers & Editors Association, opened today, October 13th, here at Grand Front Osaka (Osaka City). (Runs until October 16th)
While it's said that fewer people, especially younger generations, read newspapers these days, the event aims to convey the value of newspapers to those who rarely encounter them.
How do you convey value to someone who doesn't have the habit of reading newspapers?
Phrases like "Newspapers have so much good stuff in them!", "School entrance exam questions often come from newspapers!", or "You have to read newspapers during job hunting!" come to mind. However, this "Tomorrow's Front Page Exhibition" expresses the value of newspapers through a different approach than before.
Newspaper companies nationwide have poured all their wisdom and passion into creating each day's pages. Couldn't we use the strength cultivated through this effort to make the world happier? Comprising five booths, the "Tomorrow's Front Page Exhibition" showcases "stories of making the world happier" – stories only possible because these newspapers create their pages daily – presented in a way everyone can enjoy.
A Hometown Everyone Can Be Proud Of ~ Community Collaboration × Storks
"Answer the quiz and bring back the cranes!"

Creating the 2030 Future Search Engine ~ Organization Skills × Internet
This booth is about the future. The layout of the newspaper pages you casually read every day is actually an extremely calculated, ultimate information design. Applying this technology, what the newspaper company created by 2030 is...!
As the volume of information people encounter continues to grow, a future engine harnessing the "organization power" of newspapers will elegantly extract only the information you need.
We also have a corner where you can read newspapers from across Japan—something rarely seen by those living in Osaka—and a space where you can enjoy reading the paper with a cup of coffee. If you have time, please come visit and savor the experience of reading the newspaper.
