The Alzheimer's Foundation of Thailand is currently running a campaign called "MEMO_o_ke" (Memo-oke), a twist on karaoke. Memo-oke is essentially a "word puzzle karaoke" where parts of the lyrics subtitles are hidden. It was created by Dentsu One Bangkok.
MEMO_o_ke - The Alzheimer Foundation of Thailand
In Thailand, 800,000 people suffer from Alzheimer's disease, with the number increasing by 30,000 annually. The Alzheimer Foundation focused on the benefits of singing for stimulating memory. By introducing MEMO_o_ke, which features partially hidden karaoke lyrics, they aim to support seniors and Alzheimer's patients in enjoying activities that help combat memory decline and slow disease progression.
With the cooperation of Metro Records, Memo-Oke offers a wide range of songs. It can be enjoyed on a dedicated YouTube channel, and DVDs are distributed at partner stores.
