Professor, Center for Future Vision Studies, The University of Tokyo
Yukari Takamura
Born in Shimane Prefecture. Specializes in international law and environmental law. Graduated from Kyoto University Faculty of Law. Withdrew from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of Law doctoral program after completing required coursework. Held positions including Professor at Ryukoku University, Professor at Nagoya University Graduate School, and Professor at the University of Tokyo Institute for Research on Sustainability (IR3S) before assuming current position. Her primary research themes include legal issues concerning international environmental treaties and legal policy related to climate change and energy. She has served as Chair of the Central Environment Council, Chair of the Tokyo Metropolitan Environment Council, Member of the Feed-in Tariff Price Calculation Committee, Member of the Science Council of Japan, and Member of the Asian Development Bank's Advisory Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development. In March of this year, he was also appointed as a member of the Expert Panel for Promoting Climate Change Countermeasures established at the Prime Minister's Office. He has edited and authored numerous books, including "Contemporary Developments in Environmental Regulation," "The Dynamics of Climate Change Policy," and "Climate Change and International Cooperation."

Climate Change & ESG Specialist. Engaged in analysis and research in the climate change and ESG fields for the past 15 years. Oversaw analysis of Japanese energy policy and economics at Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), the research arm of Bloomberg Climate Change. Served as a member of the Prime Minister's Office Expert Panel on Climate Change Promotion in 2021, the Ministry of the Environment's Coal-Fired Power Generation Export Fact-Finding Committee in 2020, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Expert Meeting on Climate Change in 2018. Graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Economics. Holds a Master's degree in Environmental Business from Imperial College London.

Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1975. Graduated from Waseda University's School of Education. After working at a business corporation, joined Recycle One (now Renova) in 2004, specializing in environmental consulting, primarily engaged in environmental due diligence for real estate. Became independent in February 2006 and established Wastebox. As a professional in environmental impact and CO2 measurement, he is well-versed in all CO2 emissions survey methods required by corporations and local governments. Currently, his CO2 emissions-focused business has transactions with approximately 180 companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. As Japan's sole certified Climate Change Consulting & SBT Partner for CDP (UK), a renowned international environmental NGO, he leverages extensive experience in climate change countermeasures—including SBT target setting and CDP/TCFD disclosures—to promote accurate CO2 calculation methodologies and their integration into financial reporting. In July 2022, he founded the Carbon Accounting Advisor Association and assumed its chairmanship. He created Japan's first private certification, the "Carbon Accounting Advisor Qualification System." This system aims to cultivate and produce professionals capable of accurately calculating and analyzing CO2 emissions based on leading international rules from Europe and the US.

Joined NEC Corporation in 1993. Assigned to the Management Information Systems Division. Transferred to the Environmental Management Department in April 2002. Formulated NEC Group's long-term environmental vision and environmental management strategies, including the "Environmental Management Vision 2010," "Environmental Management Action Plan 2020/2030," "Climate Change Countermeasure Guidelines with a View to 2050," and "Environmental Targets 2030." Also responsible for environmental education and awareness, environmental communications (ESG IR, ESG survey responses, environmental information dissemination). Since November 2021, serves as Chair of the Visualization Working Group for the Green x Digital Consortium, promoting cross-industry supply chain CO2 visualization.

Since joining the company, he has handled numerous projects in the public sector. Concurrently serving at the DJN Sustainability Promotion Office, which drives sustainability within the Dentsu Group, since its establishment in 2021. Primarily responsible for carbon neutrality, he launched and drives "dentsu carbon neutral solutions," which coordinates and comprehensively provides group-wide carbon neutral solutions and initiatives. Engaged in carbon neutrality research, collaboration with leading companies, new solution development within DJN, and cross-functional coordination, he is accelerating agile efforts daily to realize a carbon neutral society by 2050, when he will be 66 years old.

Since joining the company, he has primarily focused on marketing. In the private sector, he has been involved in planning diverse communication initiatives across various industries. For government projects, he has frequently contributed to developing communication strategies that address Japan's social challenges. He has been involved in the Carbon Neutrality Research project since its inception. Alongside analyzing Japan's societal situation, he works daily to provide consulting and other services, aiming to realize a carbon-neutral society, regardless of sector—whether government agencies or corporations.

Joined Dentsu Inc. Eiga. Served as a producer overseeing the creation of numerous video content projects. After the establishment of Dentsu Creative X in 2009, he served as an executive officer. Currently, as Head of the Business Innovation Department, he leads the advancement of reforms and improvements in the work environment for content production. In 2021, launched "Metaverse Production," a joint project between Dentsu Inc. Creative Cube, Tohokushinsha Film Corporation, Hibino, and four other companies. Began developing initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in conjunction with promoting virtual production as a new option for video production.

Under the company's internal research program, he launched the decarbonization solution "Day Tree" in 2021 and is currently advancing various proof-of-concept experiments toward its release in fiscal year 2023.
