Over the past five installments, we've introduced future lifestyle scenarios created through Dentsu Inc.'s "Mi-Life Innovation 2025" project. ( Previous articles: #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 )
For this final installment, we present ideas born from a workshop conducted with our Web & System Solutions Bureau.
Two days of passionate discussion about future ideas, led by young professionals
A total of 55 participants took part in workshops spanning 3.5 hours over two days.
The theme was developing future service ideas for 2025.
First, members of the "Mi-Life Innovation 2025" project presented a framework for generating future ideas and hints for future forecasting. Afterwards, each team discussed their ideas.
On the second day, each team presented their ideas to the entire group.
During the presentations, teams not presenting were divided into proponents and opponents, engaging in lively debate-style discussions about each idea.
After all teams presented and discussed their ideas, voting took place using three evaluation criteria: "Feasibility," "Market Size," and "Excitement." We would like to introduce the three ideas selected through this process.
Motion Learning Suit
Motion capture technology, which records the movements of real people and objects as digital data, has advanced remarkably and is already widely used in fields like games and movies.
A "Motion Learning Suit" with the ability to provide motion data feedback to the wearer would enable the 100% accurate transmission of movements that previously could only be conveyed through imitation.
For example, by preserving the movements of traditional performing arts, such as Kabuki, as data, it would be possible to accurately pass them down to disciples 100 years in the future, transcending time. Furthermore, its application is expected not only in traditional performing arts but also in other fields like sports and music.
Furthermore, enabling more people to experience traditional performing arts movements firsthand could potentially help alleviate the shortage of successors.

Disposable Sticker Camera
The miniaturization of high-performance cameras shows no signs of stopping.
Smartphone cameras now offer more than enough performance, allowing us to easily take beautiful photos "anytime, anywhere" and enjoy this new form of communication by sharing them.
If cameras become even more powerful and compact, and can be affixed anywhere in the form of a sticker, it will become possible to capture data from all sorts of scenes that were previously impossible to record.
For example, they could become "human dashcams" to prepare for emergencies involving children or the elderly, "athlete wearable cameras" capturing the competitor's exact viewpoint, or even "animal wearable cameras" for studying the behavior of rare species.

Next-Generation Housekeeper Robot

Recently, various companies have been offering solutions utilizing big data. In the near future, these solutions will likely permeate our daily lives.
Take, for example, the next-generation housekeeper robot equipped with artificial intelligence.
Through repeated image recognition, voice recognition, and interaction with users, the AI can analyze the user's personality, preferences, and even their current mood and situation, enabling the provision of highly personalized solutions. By adopting a humanoid form regardless of gender, communication occurs naturally through conversation rather than conscious operation or instruction. As the robot learns the user's feelings and awareness, an era may arrive where "heartfelt treatment and service" can be functionalized.

Even among the ideas we couldn't cover this time, there were many brilliant concepts. I strongly felt the potential for new ideas to emerge when the creativity of each Dentsu Inc. employee is combined with future-oriented thinking.
What did you think of Dentsu Inc.'s "Mi-Life Innovation 2025," introduced over these six installments?
The continued evolution and proliferation of IT will undoubtedly transform our lives significantly. As everything becomes connected online, resulting in an overwhelming increase in tasks that leave us busier than ever, we believe what we will need going forward are services that "enrich our time."
